Spaghetti squash

So… the veggie email today said that the oblong brown or green thing is a spaghetti squash, so before I even picked up the box, I figured we would have time to cook that for dinner before going to the funeral home (for a neighbor). I got home after picking up the veggies at the farm, and started right in on making the sauce (garlic, onions, green peppers, hot peppers, tomatoes), and boiling the round green squash in the water. (There was another squash in the box too, looked like a butternut.) After about 20 minutes it felt done with a fork, so I got it out and cut it open to reveal… a watermelon!

Luckily the water was already boiling, so it didn't take much longer to cook some actual spaghetti to go with the sauce. Argh.

PS – hot watermelon doesn't taste like much. Just in case you were wondering.
